Sit. Feast on your life.

Love After Love

The time will come
when, with elation
you will greet yourself arriving
at your own door, in your own mirror
and each will smile at the other's welcome,

and say, sit here. Eat.
You will love again the stranger who was your self.
Give wine. Give bread. Give back your heart
to itself, to the stranger who has loved you

all your life, whom you ignored
for another, who knows you by heart.
Take down the love letters from the bookshelf,

the photographs, the desperate notes,
peel your own image from the mirror.
Sit. Feast on your life.

Iridescence

Image by Jonathan Canalas via Serendipitous Romance

" "Some of us get dipped in flat, some in satin, some in gloss..." He turned to me.  "But every once in a while, you find someone who's iridescent, and when you do, nothing will ever compare." "

Life is sometimes a movie

via YouTube

David Pogue, New York Times technology writer made this super cute fake movie trailer, a "thinly veiled version" of their love story, to show to his now fiance and their families right before he proposed.  You can read a little more about it here. The trailer is gorgeous but his lady's reaction to it (filmed by a secret video camera), is just gorgeous.  As Siegal said: I dare you not to tear up.

Haiku love

As you know I love this poet's way with words.  I could disappear in his blog for hours. TK's daily haikus on love are such a treat, and sometimes they just grab me.

Choosing a man

via Emeranie

I, with a deeper instinct, choose a man who compels my strength, who makes enormous demands on me, who does not doubt my courage or my toughness, who does not believe me naïve or innocent, who has the courage to treat me like a woman.

Kiss me too fiercely

Listening to "As long as your mine" from Wicked sung by David Harris and Jemma Rix.  If you haven't heard it...here is the Broadway version sung by the amazing Idina Menzel.
